Hello again, Dr. Nagler -
I am now a year into my tinnitus, and while I am no longer the wreck that I was during the first few months, my negative emotional response is—to one degree or another—often a problem. I recently came across the tinnitus.org site.
My assumption is that you are familiar with the site and the information presented. If, indeed, you are, what do you think of this claim, excerpted from Mr. Hazell's TRT article:
"Retraining should be guided by professionals with experience in this field, forming part of a multi-disciplinary team. However many people can be helped by understanding the Jastreboff model and applying the principles of retraining as described on our website"

My other question is about the Jastreboff model itself. What is the relationship between hair cell damage and the perception of tinnitus?
Thanks again,
Eric
