Acceptance & other concerns

I contacted you 8 weeks ago .  I’ve not had much change to be honest although I was privileged to have 5 days in a row last week where my Tinnitus was very quiet all day, which is highly unusually even before my ‘Piano spike’.  There have been days in the past 8 weeks  when I had one decent day in every 10, so to have 5 days in a row is like a miracle to me.  I almost felt like I had a normal life.

Now it’s back with a vengeance.  Is this a sign that following my spike that its beginning to settle?  If it is, why does it come back again with such venom?  Can I expect peaks and troughs on the road to a return to baseline? Or is there just no rhyme nor reason to it all?

Also – you’ve obviously reached a point in your mind where no matter how bad it is it doesn’t bother you.  I was like this before my piano episode, but I really don’t know how to find my way back to this point in my mind.  I know it about acceptance but it’s a very difficult point to reach as you have that inbuilt fear response to it, particularly when its brand new to a new person or a new noise to an existing person.

Do you have any tips please that can help me reach this, what I would consider, spiritual point, a higher level of acceptance?
